Learning how to swim is essential at any age! Whether you are looking to learn how to swim or simply improve your strokes and skills for recreational or athletic reasons, our instructors will work with your individual skills and needs. Classes are semi-private. All of our lessons are taught by the volunteers of the Venetian Aquatic Club. Participants must bring proper swim attire.

Become a lifeguard in just one week! You can learn valuable lifesaving skills and get hands on training from our experienced lifeguard instructors.
Program Prerequisites:
200 yard swim without stopping using Freestyle or Breast stroke
Two minute tread with hands above the water
Ten pound brick retrieval from the 8ft section of the pool
(Students must attend all days and times as well as complete an assigned resource document, 80% on written exam and demonstrate mastery of all practical skills to successfully complete the certification course.)
Course Includes: Lifeguard textbook, study materials and Jeff Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program certification. The certificate of completion is valid at any aquatic facility in the United States as well as many international locations.

Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday
3 week sessions 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Learn to swim at the Venetian Pool this summer with our certified Red Cross Venetian Aquatic Club volunteers. Classes start Monday, June 11 and are offered for 2-week sessions (Mon. – Fri.) for ages five years old and above. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and be placed according to their skill level. The program offers the following six progressive levels:

• Level I: Introduction to water skills. Classes are taught in shallow section of pool
• Level II: Fundamental Aquatic Skills. Classes are taught in shallow section of pool
• Level III: Stroke Development. Classes are taught in 4 ft section of pool
• Level IV: Stroke Improvement. Classes are taught in 4 ft section of pool
• Level V: Stroke Refinement. Classes are taught in 5-6 ft section of pool
• Level VI: Stroke Proficiency. Classes are taught in Deep section of pool
