When a drama class takes a field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts, three students take a detour to the "Restricted Section" and find themselves stuck in time, passing through different periods of theatre history. As they try to make their way back to modern times, they meet iconic characters like Shakespeare, King Leer, Clytemnestra, Cassandra, Millie, Elphaba, and more. Will they find their way home?
